Troubleshooting
Retrying failed objects
Relevant toAll plans
During a large migration, sometimes objects can fail: a network blip, an API rate limit hit, a value the target field rejects. DatMig is built so one failure never sinks the whole migration.
How retry works
- The run migrates everything it can, then shows a Retry Failed button.
- A retry attempt tries to migrate only the failed objects; anything already migrated is not tried.
- You can retry as many times as you want; each attempt picks up only what is still outstanding.
Tips
- Check the reason of each failure first. Some failures are due to target platform constraints and cannot be fixed just with a retry.
- For rate-limit failures, raise the query delay before retrying.
