Mapping statuses across platforms

Every platform uses different names for its task/item statuses: “In Progress” status in one platform may be same as “Doing” status in another. In the Map step, DatMig lets you map source statuses with the target.

How it works

• DatMig reads the statuses in your source spaces/items and the statuses available in the target space/board.
• It proposes a sensible default match for each source status, however you can manually change any status mapping and map it to a target status of your choice.
• A default status is applied (if the target platform supports) on the migrated objects, for the statuses that have no mapping specified.

Tips

• Create your required statuses in the target platform before going through the migration steps. That way, you'll have the required statuses available for mapping during the Map step.
• If a target platform supports only a limited number of statuses or doesn't support statuses at all, the Map step will let you preserve the source status of each object in a target custom field.
